Minun kyläni / My Village on yhteisöllinen mediataideteos internetissä. Yleisö osallistui sen tekemiseen joko lähettämällä omatekoisen kuvan tai tekstin internetin välityksellä tai tulemalla paikan päälle Elävän Silakan avoimeen työpajaan 16. - 19. 11. 2006, Jyväskylän Yliopiston Opinkivessä .

Minun kyläni / My Village on yhdessä piirrettävä kylän tai kaupungin toivekuva. Se haastaa yleisön miettimään ja osallistumaan: miltä näyttää asuinpaikka jossa on hyvä asua? Mitä toiveitten kylässä tai kaupungissa on?

"Minun kyläni / My Village" was a public installation as well as a media artwork in the internet. Members of the audience could participate in the making of an ideal village either by sending an image or text they have created through the internet or by visiting the Live Herring open workshop between November 16 and 19, 2006.

The idea of the work was to depict a dream image of a village or a town. The pictures of the village were drawn collaboratively: each participant made some drawings that were combined using the computer to a single map. Drawings were also possible to be sent to the work via internet site.
